This year’s TinkerFest combines science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics-- stop-motion animations and more that will inspire everyone’s imagination! ASC's TinkerFest, inspired by the "maker movement" includes "tinkering" or "making" stations with hands-on activities hosted by ASC, local artists and makers, and UAPB faculty and students in the textile science program.

The UAPB Textile Science Studio will feature tinkering with fiber and textiles, demonstrations by students and faculty from UAPB’s Merchandising, Textiles & Design Program, and the Fashion Network including mask making, carding, and spinning wool as well as how to identify fibers using the microscope. Fashion designs created by the students will be on display.

ASC Activities include:

  • Sensor Car Wars
  • 3D Printing
  • Bike Repair Workshop
  • Create an Original Art Piece
  • Mindbender Mansion and more

This event is free thanks to the Pine Bluff Community Foundation and the Arkansas Discovery Network which is funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. The STEAM Studio, which is sponsored by Junior League of Pine Bluff, will be open during TinkerFest.
