Swing, Art, and All That Jazz
In summer 2018, ASC welcomed 11 students from Jefferson County for our first ever AEGIS program: Swing, Art, and All That Jazz. In this summer camp program, students learned traditional jazz and swing dance styles and created an interpretive video to accompany a watercolor painting by Harlem Renaissance artist, Palmer Hayden.
See some of the things the students created below, and check out our blog post for more information on Swing, Art, and All That Jazz.
This camp was made possible by a grant from the Arkansas Department of Education.
