$25 for members $35 for nonmembers
Due to recent abdominal surgery, Michael Church will not be able to facilitate the March 15 Collage & Cork. However, the studio of Amy Edgington, the late prolific and award-winning Arkansas collage artist, will host the workshop instead. Ellis Widner, Style Editor for the Democrat-Gazette, describes Edgington as “one of central Arkansas’ most influential artists. Her painterly sensibility, eye-catching design sense and sharp storytelling and commentary skills set her work apart in the visual arts community.” Her artwork is included in private collections nationally and the permanent collection of the Historic Arkansas Museum and Arkansas Studies Institute.
Participants will learn collage and assemblage composition techniques using materials from Amy Edgington’s personal materials collection while enjoying complimentary wine (or beer) during this fun “collage party” workshop.
No experience is necessary. Bring a group of friends to relax, socialize, and create in this laid back collage art workshop.
Advance registration is required and must be 21 years or older to attend. Space is limited.
