Every second Saturday of the month, ASC hosts a Family FunDay featuring themed hands-on STEAM programming. May's theme is Fashion Up-cycle where the activity will be a deconstruct/reconstruct workshop facilitated by Project Runway alum Korto Momolu.
Korto Momolu is a Liberian-born fashion designer who graduated from ’Academies des Couturiers Design Institute in Ottawa, Ontario and studied at at the renowned Parsons School of Design in New York City. Korto's designs reflect vibrant colors and diversity and draws influence from her African heritage. She was on the 5th season of Project Runway and earned the title of Fan Favorite and was respectively the first runner up.
ASC’s Second Saturday Family FunDay program offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities in which visitors create art, complete science projects, or perform dance, music, or theater. Activities complement current art or science exhibitions. Activities are free and led by visiting artists, local art educators, and ASC staff.
