The influence of ancient Chinese traditions on luxury goods can be found throughout history and across the globe, especially in silk textiles and apparel. Join us for an exploration of the history of Chinese silk production and traditional Chinese dress, and see how master artisans are keeping ancient traditions alive today through traditional manufacturing methods and global high fashion. Attendees will also make their own silk fan and enjoy complimentary wine or beer.

This collection is for the Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear. This fashion collection was inspired by different important women’s lives in the world, and different historic time periods. There are several women that provided inspiration to this collection. One of example, which related with Chinese Culture: Wu Zetian, she is the first and only female empress of China. Her reign was during the later part of the Tang Dynasty. Under her leadership, Education in the country was a major focal point.
