ASC is partnering with the Arkansas Humanities Council (AHC) to host a community forum. Members of the community are invited to come and learn about the Arkansas Humanities Council and to share ideas and interests in projects related to the humanities.
Is there important historical information you want to share and preserve?
Do you have ideas for an educational exhibit on the humanities?
Are you a teacher who would like to learn more about grants for projects for your school?
Are you interested in learning more about what the Arkansas Humanities Council does and the grants they offer?
Those who answer “yes” to any of these questions are encouraged to come for an engaging discussion.
There is no cost to attend.
To achieve its purpose of promoting understanding, appreciation and use of the humanities in Arkansas, the Arkansas Humanities Council is organizing community forums across the state. ASC will host members of the staff and board of the Arkansas Humanities Council and members of the Pine Bluff and southeast Arkansas area community to build connections and exchange ideas.
The Arkansas Humanities Council wants to inform the community about the council’s mission and vision and about grant opportunities available to organizations. Community members are invited to share their ideas and interests in projects and initiatives in the areas of history, culture, language, storytelling and other areas of the humanities. The AHC staff and board want to know what programs that members of our community would like to see.
The Arkansas Humanities Council is a nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
